Virat Kohli inspired India’s fightback in the 2nd Test against South Africa in Centurion on Monday by scoring a scintillating 150.
The Indian skipper brought up his 21st Test century overall and his second against the Proteas.
Kohli celebrated his ton in his trademark style, by jumping and punching his fist in the air. A few moments later, as he added 50 runs more to his account, the 29-year-old resorted to a different celebration.
The dashing right-hander took out a chain tied around his neck and kissed his wedding ring which was attached to it.
A month ago, stand-by Team India limited-overs skipper Rohit Sharma also celebrated his 3rd double ton in similar fashion after smashing his 3rd triple century, dedicating his knock to wife Ritika Sajdeh on their wedding anniversary.
Kohli will definitely remember his knock in Centurion, this being the first after his marriage with Anushka Sharma in December.
Previously, the couple secretly exchanged their wedding vows in Italy and later broke out the news to the public. Upon landing in India, Virushka hosted two wedding receptions in New Delhi and Mumbai, which was attended by relatives and friends from the industry.
Anushka later left for South Africa along with Virat Kohli, where the newly-weds celebrated the New Year in Cape Town.
The duo was even spotted shopping with Shikhar Dhawan and family on local streets. Following the end of the first Test, which the visitors lost, the Bollywood actress flew back to India for her personal commitments.
