Akshay Kumar is the first amongst the A-list actors who have decided to resume work after four long months of lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. The actor is all set to kick-start shooting of his film, ‘Bell Bottom’ this month, and is expected to fly to the UK for the same.
Talking about the same to a news portal, Akshay reportedly said even though he is also concerned about the coronavirus, he feels that we can no longer live in fear.
According to him, when the pandemic started, very little was known about the virus so there was a lot of fear. However, now with time, we know more and also that it’s possible to beat it if we have a good immune system. Hence, he says he decided to get back to work taking all the precautions, not just for himself but for his entire unit.
On the work front, he has projects like, ‘Atrangi Re’, Bell Bottom’ and Bachchan Pandey in his pipeline.
Elaborating more, the actor added that he was itching to get back to work as soon as it was permitted and possible. He also added that he has stayed away from the camera for a long time now and there is a newfound excitement to be back on set.
Talking about his family’s reaction to him resuming work, Akshay said that he is very fortunate that his family has been very supportive.
According to him, they understand where he is coming from and that one just can’t stay cooped up at home forever. Eventually, we will have to step out and start working. He added that he has just decided to do it before anyone else.
