National award winner Akshay Kumar and director Raghav Lawrence will be building a home for transgenders for the first time in Chennai. The actor has donated Rs. 1.5 crores to build a transgender home in Chennai and the news was announced by his Laxmmi Bomb director, Raghava Lawrence.

Akshay Kumar, who is currently busy with his forthcoming releases, took out time to support and uplift the transgender community in India. the filmmaker Raghav wrote on his post, " During Laxmmi Bomb shoot I was talking to Akshay Kumar sir about the trust projects and transgender's home, immediately after hearing this without even me asking he told he will donate Rs 1.5 cores for building transgender's home."
