It was in 2009 that Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan set the big screen on fire with their sizzling chemistry in Kambakkht Ishq, and now 10 years later, they are reuniting for Karan Johar's Good News. Khiladi Kumar took to social media to share the good news with his fans but with a twist. Akshay and Kareena took the 10 year challenge to make the big announcement.
Good News has been in the news for a long time, but finally Akshay and Kareena have begun shooting for the film.
Akshay shared a picture from the first day of shoot with Kareena and said that he is glad that nothing has changed.
He wrote, "2009 to 2019, the #GoodNews is that not much has changed, or so we hope ?? First day of shoot it is, do send in your best wishes #10YearChallenge."
Directed by Raj Mehta, Good News revolves around two couples who face pregnancy issues. The film also stars Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead roles.
Good News was announced last year but it failed to hit the floor as both the actors were busy with their respective projects.
Kareena and Akshay, who have previously worked together in films like Kambakkht Ishq, Aitraaz, Tashaan and Bewafaa, are collaborating for a film after a span of 10 years. Kareena had an extended cameo in Akshay Kumar's 2015 film Gabbar Is Back.
Kiara Advani, who shot to fame with Lust Stories, will be seen opposite Diljit Dosanjh in the film.
Karan Johar, who is producing the film, recently announced that Good News is set to hit the screens on September 6.
