Two versatile actors, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte, who bowled us with their acting chops in Manjhi - The Mountain Man are reuniting again for Honey Trehan's directorial debut Raat Akeli Hai.
Nawaz recently started the shooting of the film and the latest addition to the cast is Shweta Tripathi, who previously worked with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Haramkhor.
The source close to the film told Mumbai Mirror, “The Kanpur-based story has Nawaz playing an investigative officer who is working on a high profile case. That is when his character meets Radhika, a rich girl from a small town, and Shweta. The film will also be shot in Lucknow and Gwalior and will wrap up on March 25.”
Shweta confirmed the news about playing a pivotal part in Raat Akeli Hai and said, Acting alongside Nawaz bhai is a learning experience. He is a master of the craft and makes you look good by just being in the same frame as you.”
Raat Akeli Hai is set in 1980s and narrates the journey of a cop from a police-in training to a class one officer.
