Abhishek Kapoor 'Kedarnath' which marked the debut of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter Sara Ali Khan in Bollywood, saw a good response from the critics as well as the audience and the film turned out to be successful.
Even though the film was dragged into few controversies prior to its release, director Abhishek Kapoor opened up about why he took the legal route against Sara.
As reported by Asian Age, Sara apparently wanted 'Simmba' to be her debut film and therefore in order to avoid this, Abhishek had to take the legal way out
He was further reported as saying that Sara has no clue how much he and the producers of the film had faced just to make 'Kedarnath' her first film.
Not only did they fight it out in the court but also sorted out the release date with 'Simmba' director Rohit Shetty. Abhishek was also quoted as saying that the makers of 'Kedarnath' pulled up the release of the film ahead of schedule in December, which was logistically a crazy thing to do.
