Aayush Sharma to play army major in his next film ‘Kwatha’
Aayush Sharma made his Bollywood debut last year with LoveYatri, was in news after he decided to play the main lead in the Hindi remake of Marathi film Mulshi Pattern.
Now, we hear Aayush has signed another film, too. Aayush, who was bulking up for the remake, can be seen in a completely new look again. He's cut his hair shorter and is sporting a much leaner but fantastic physique. We hear this is for the film he's just locked.
A source close to the development confirms, "Aayush has signed a film called Kwatha, which is an inspirational film revolving around a city in Manipur of the same name.
It's an action drama pumped with a lot of emotions, where the young actor will be playing Army Major. Kwatha is inspired from true events and will show how a few incidents change his character's opinion and perspective on certain things. Karan Lalit Butani, who directed the 2018-film Phamous will be helming it."
Aayush is known to be extremely involved creatively with his projects. "When he heard the narration, he was sold into the film. He loved the script and immediately gave his nod.
He worked on the film with the team for sometime, fine tuning it. This is a passion project for Aayush. The plan is to begin shooting for Kwatha around September this year, while Mulshi Pattern will now take some time to go on the floors. Kwatha will release sometime in 2020 and that will also be Aayush's second Bollywood film." While the North-East has always complained of them being sidelined in Hindi films, it will be interesting to see Aayush take up a story that is so close to the people there and also unveil it nationwide.
