Mouni Roy has been blazing movies after her debut with Gold. The actress who spent more than a decade on television is now juggling between as many as five movies. Amidst shooting for Naagin 3 finale and Made in China where she stars alongside Rajkummar Rao, Mouni also has Brahmastra in the pipeline which can be perhaps termed as a big project for her. She will be seen alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in the sci-fi inspired movie which is being helmed by Ayan Mukerji.
The big Dharma project was earlier scheduled to release this Christmas, but citing some work-related issues, Ayan recently announced that the movie will now have a summer release next year which is 2020.

Though the news obviously broke many hearts given the hype around the movie, we caught up with Mouni if the news bothered her at all. “Anything that has been happening for the good for the movie, it is better, right? This is a big project, it has a lot of VFX and lot is left to shoot actually. I think it is better to have more space, to do better things and do it the way Ayan has visioned it for the movie. Whatever he deems fit,” she said.
But did the postponing of the movie dishearten her? To this, Mouni laughed and said, “I don’t even think like that. Not at all. Things shouldn’t come in a rush. Everything should happen at the right time. I am a firm believer in the power of ‘now’.”

When quizzed about her equation with Ayan who she calls her BFF, Mouni added, “Obviously, the whole world knows that Ayan is a super little director and he is a brilliant person. Once anyone who has sat down with him knows that he has a beautiful mind. He knows a lot about a lot of things; it is a lot of learning with him. I am extremely grateful that he chose me as one of his characters in his movie. It is a dream project and it is a dream come true for me to.”
Mouni also has Bole Chudiyan in the pipeline, for which she will begin with the prep soon.

Lastly, when asked about sharing screen space with Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and then Ranbir and Alia, Mouni gushed, “I really feel lucky to be sharing screen space with them within the first one and a half year of my movie work. I am just thankful and lucky that this is happening.”
