Taapsee Pannu to replace Ileana D’Cruz in film on hockey player Sandeep Singh?
While Taapsee Pannu is busy with the shooting of Judwaa 2, Ileana D’Cruz is bagging praise for her ongoing picture Baadshaho.
Taapsee Pannu is said to be in talks for a film with Diljit Dosanjh, based on the life of Sandeep Singh, former captain of the Indian hockey team.
Initially, the makers had approached Ileana D’Cruz, who chose to give her nod to the Ajay Devgn-starter Raid.
Pannu is said to be mulling over the offer as she is keen to take on true-life roles after the upcoming comic caper, Judwaa 2. Directed by Shaad Ali, the film kicks off later this year.
Digit Dosanjh was in news recently for his upcoming flick, which is believed to be based on the story of Sandeep Singh, the coveted hockey player in India and the ex captain. While the movie isn’t a biopic, it’s an important chapter of Sandeep’s life all set to be impersonated on screen.
A lot was talked about the female lead of the film and seems like its Taapsee Pannu who is all ready to meet the female protagonist in the movie.
The film instead of being a biopic will be a passion tale that rolls round the story of Taps and Diljit, both of whom would be playing hockey players in the movie. While the precise details aren’t known, the film is set to be directed by Shaad Ali.
The two players will be passing through extensive preparation for their hockey playing skills by strict professionals before they commence shooting for the film in Punjab in October.
Taapsee Upcoming film Judwaa 2 is releasing on 29th September. And now immediately after the release Taapsee will immense herself in yet another promising project.
