Shruti Haasan is happy with the way her career is going. In an interview last year, the actress/ singer had admitted that after years, she was finally content with the projects coming her way. She was last seen in Vakeel Saab, which received positive reviews and was a remake of the Taapsee Pannu-Amitabh Bachchan starrer Pink. Starring Pawan Kalyan, the film was appreciated by critics and audiences alike. Apart from that, Shruti was also seen in the Telugu hit Krack opposite Ravi Teja.

The actress has now been signed for ‘Salaar’ opposite Prabhas and will reportedly be playing a political journalist in the action flick.

To be directed by Kannada filmmaker Prashant Neel, it was reported that Disha Patani was originally approached for the film, but talks fell through. The film will continue its shoot in Hyderabad next month where massive sets have been erected. Given the precarious pandemic situation in the country, the film will only release in April next year.

Shruti, who is known for her refreshingly candid posts on social media, admitted in an interview that living along during the lockdown last year had taught her a lot of things.
