Shraddha Kapoor on playing a cop in Saaho: It felt like tapping into my moral side
Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhas are pairing up for the very first time in their upcoming action drama Saaho. The movie has been shot in three languages like Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, simultaneously.
It also features Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi, Chunky Panday, Mahesh Manjrekar, Arun Vijay, Murali Sharma and many others.
Produced by UV Creations and directed by Sujeeth, Saaho is scheduled to hit the theatres on August 30, 2019. This is Shraddha’s Tamil debut and she will play the role of a cop for the first time.
When asked as to how she went from urban glam-girl to straight-faced crime branch cop, Amritha Nair, in Saaho.
She replied, “It’s the first time I am playing a cop. An officer is in charge of the citizens, and it’s a privilege. It felt like tapping into my moral side. Amritha inspired me to be the right person and do the right thing.”
Saaho is releasing a week before Nitesh Tiwari’s Chhichhore. Therefore, Shraddha is jumping from here to there for promotions of both films but is super cool about it.
“It’s the producers’ call. We don’t have a say,” she mentioned, adding that it’s “exhausting but exRciting”. “They are two entirely different films so, there’s no question of an overlap. Besides, I get to see myself on the big screen twice in such a short interval. What can be better than that!” she added.
