A 17 year old girl in South Africa was shocked when her idol said Yes to a bizzare request for a date. We are not talking of any ordinary idol here. Melanie Olhaus has won herself a dance date with Chad Le Clos, the Olympics star who managed to beat Michael Phelps, the God of swimming!

When Chad rturned to SA after his successful Golden stint at the London Olympics, a huge crowd of fans and well wishers gathered at the Johannesburg airport to welcome and greet their star. One face amongst this crowd belonged to Melanie. Like a star struck teenager, Melanie carried a poster to the venue that read, “Chad, Will You Be My Matric Dance Date?” That’s so cute, right? Apparently Chad thought so too, and accepted the invitation!

Who knew it was so simple to ask someone special out on a date?
