Salman Khan has always been keen to uplift Hindi movie industry. Superstar Salman Khan, who has turned distributor for his forthcoming film Race 3, is planning to start his own theatre chain, Salman talkies.
According to Salman’s preliminary plans, he wanted to aim at providing funded and tax-free tickets. He also wants to give movie tickets for free for children from underprivileged backgrounds. Salman’s plans got delayed because of logistical issues. In a recent interview, Salman confirmed that these theatres will be positioned on the outskirts of Mumbai.
In an interview with a leading media channel, Salman said, “I had a lot of plans for the theatre chain but it’s taking me longer because I need to be very careful. There are a lot of logistical details involved so that the project doesn’t shut down. But let me clarify, the theatres will not be in Bandra or Juhu, but on the outskirts of Mumbai.”
The aim of the talkies is to make movies accessible to all at reasonable rates. This move aims to promote movies and in turn will act as a crowd-puller in many regions. We are proud of Salman’s movement.
