It was earlier reported that Bigg Boss 14 would kick off on September 27 this year. As people began to talk about possible contestants etc, the channel has now declared that the show will be started on October 14. It is being reported in the news that this delay is a result of some contestants chickening out at the last minute. So the makers are left looking for new faces.
Apparently, the makers of the show are on the lookout for celebrities that are pretty and controversial. But they have not found as many yet as they need. The other reason being cited is the hunt for sponsors. The Chinese phone company that sponsored the show last season is not on board this year. So the channel is still looking for a big company to sponsor the show.
But there is a huge speculation that these are not real reasons why the show has been postponed. The real reason is that the makers of the show fear a backlash from fans amidst the Sushant Singh Rajput story. Ever since SSR was found dead, people are screaming for justice and trolling Bollywood bigwigs for nepotism etc. Salman Khan hs been trolled every time he has posted fake farming pictures etc. Sadak2 trailer was trolled like never before. This has led the channel to believe that a delay would probably be best for them so that they can avoid the public ire that may be directed at the show due to Salman Khan’s link with it.
