This is a proud moment for all Indians. Bollywood music composer A.R. Rahman has won a Golden Globe Award for his music in the acclaimed movie Slumdog Millionaire.

43 year old Rahman is the first Indian ever to win a Golden Globe.

This great honour was bestowed on Rahman for the song “Jai Ho!” in Slumdog Millionaire. The song was sung by ace singer Sukhwinder and the lyrics were penned by Gulzar. This really is a great combination!

“Slumdog Millionaire” has not surprised anyone with its clean sweep at the Golden Globes. As everyone expected, the movie won a handful of awards last night. The Golden Globes awarded to “Slumdog Millionaire are: “Best Motion Picture”, “Best Screenplay”, “Best Original Musical Score” and “Best Director”.
