Padmavati controversy is well known to all and we all know the controversy of the movie is what makes the release delay. Padmavati is now falling into more pits and it is hard to imagine its outcome once released.
It is in a news that, Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chief Prasoon Joshi may have elucidated that the makers of Padmavat have been asked to make 300 cuts to the movie. The ad comes a day after the movie’s producers Bhansali Productions and Viacom18 Motion Pictures officially announced that the film will hit the screens on January 25 with due amendments suggested by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
Though Mr. Joshi clarified yesterday that the certification process of Padmavat is complete and reports about cuts are simply “untrue”. “The makers have submitted the final film with agreed five modifications, these modifications have tried to incorporate observations and suggestions given by the advisory panel and also in keeping with the sentiments of society.”
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavat stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor and is based on the 16th-century epic poem “Padmavat” by Malik Muhammad Jayasi. Reports also suggest that it is scheduled for a January 25 release where it will clash at the box office with Akshay Kumar’s PadMan.
We hope that Padmavati gets released without any more pitfalls.
