Mumbai Police has booked Aditya Pancholi for rape charges. Mumbai Police filed an FIR (First Information Report) against the Bollywood actor-producer based on the protest of an actress at the Versova Police Station.
According to a report from Indian media, Versova Police Station has listed a case vide CR no- 198/2019 U/s 376, 328, 384, 341, 342, 323, 506 IPC, against Aditya. The police though upholds that proving of charges would be difficult as the case is 10 years old.
According to the police, the actress who protested against Aditya, recorded her statement on Thursday afternoon. In her police complaint, the actress said that she was raped on several occasions by Aditya Pancholi. Earlier, the actress had filed a written complaint against Sooraj Pancholi‘s father but it gave no results.
The actress in the past had complained of Aditya Pancholi abusing her when she was 17 years old. The actress had said that she went to the police when she was abused, but the actor was apparently let off with just a warning.
Well, as per the chief police, it seems like they will decide on the further course of action once preliminary inquiries are over. Versova police have registered an offence of rape, wrongful restraint, assault and criminal intimidation under the Indian Penal Code against Aditya Pancholi.
Aditya Pancholi is also in a legal battle with actress Kangana Ranaut and reported that he has been maligned.
