Putting all speculation and rumors to rest, the makers of ‘Thalaivi’ have announced a theatrical release for the much awaited film. Kangana Ranaut also shared the news on her social media, saying, “The story of this iconic personality deserves to be witnessed only on the BIG SCREEN! Pave way, for #Thalaivii as she is all set to make a superstar entry into the world of cinema, yet again, a place where she has always belonged!” Actor Arvind Swamy, who is playing then CM MG Ramachandran, better known as MGR, also shared the happy news on his social media.
You can watch the story of superstar-turned-politician Jayalalitha on September 10 in any cinema near you. The film has been made in Tamil and Hindi. It was given a U Certificate for the Tamil version. If you are keen on watching the film but still a little wary of going to a cinema hall, the Hindi version will find its way into your living rooms via Netflix, but that will be after the film has had its theatrical release!
