Bollywood icon and one of the finest actors in India, Dilip Kumar, passed away after a long battle with illness. We often read about his coming and going from hospitals. But like all good things, Dilip Kumar’s life came to an end yesterday. His wife of 55 years Saira Banu bid him goodbye along with millions of fans all over the world. As soon as the news broke, messages of condolence started pouring in.

Last rites of the late actor were performed with full state honors. Many politicians and celebrities including Udhav Thackeray, Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar Shabana Azmi, Vidya Balan, Anil Kumar, Dharmendra, Raza Murad, Anupam Kher and Johnny Lever paid a visit to the bereaved family and attended the funeral of their beloved actor. The death of Dilip Kumar spells the end of an era. He was the last remaining legends from the initial days of Bollywood. He was loved by all fans of the Indian film industry and considered a role model by many superstars during their initial days in Bollywood. May he Rest in Eternal Peace.
