The recently released The Girl on the Train is but a blip for Kirti Kulhari, who has been on a hot streak since last year with Four More Shots Please 2 and Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors. The Ribhu Dasgupta-directed thriller, which sees the actor as a cop investigating a murder case, received a mixed response. “When you walk into a remake, you know what you’re getting into. So, the comparison [with the original book and the Hollywood thriller] was the least of our concerns. I haven’t read the reviews, but my family enjoyed the film. I moved on from the film a year ago because I was doing a lot of other projects,” begins Kulhari.
For now, the actor has her blinders on, ready to focus on the third season of Four More Shots Please.
The International Emmy-nominated series is among the many projects that have been delayed due to the pandemic. “I will join the team on March 12. We will shoot in Mumbai and Ludhiana, following which we will hopefully fly to Europe for a schedule. I will wrap up the show by June-end,” says Kulhari, who has already planned a much-needed vacation right after the stint.
The Amazon Prime Video series, also starring Sayani Gupta, Maanvi Gagroo and Bani J, traces the lives and loves of four women who stand by each other through thick and thin.
