Kareena Kapoor Khan has been in around in the industry for nearly two decades now and has been responsible for some masterpieces. Amongst several memorable characters, the actress’s most iconic one remains to be Poo from Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
As Poo aka Pooja, Kareena injected life into the glamourous character and to date, is remembered for the same.
A memorable personality in the history of Bollywood, PeepingMoon.com, in an exclusive piece dated May 11, 2019, informed that a spin-off on Poo is on the cards and the team at Karan’s Dharma Productions are considering to give it a digital release. And now, as Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham completed eighteen years, Kareena, during an interview for her upcoming film Good Newwz, told that she is in talks with Karan for the web series titled Poo Diaries. Adding further, she said that the web series is being written and the announcement will follow once the script is locked.
“Karan and I are still in talks. The show is being written and will be announced once the script is locked,” Kareena told.
The web series that will be produced by Karan under his digital content production house Dharmatic, will premiere on Netflix as a part of the filmmaker’s long-term deal with the platform. Talking further about Poo Diaries, Kareena said the date on which it will hit the floors hasn’t been decided as she is busy with films like Laal Singh Chaddha and Takht. “We don’t know when it will go on floors. At the moment, I am busy with Laal Singh Chaddha and Takht,” Kareena added.
Delving into details of how her character will look like in her 40s, Kareena promptly said that the essence of Poo won’t change but she will be calmer.
“The essence of Poo won’t change, but she will be calmer. They are writing it with a spirit where the core characteristics will not be changed. She will always be synonymous with me. And if I may add, it can’t be done by anyone else,” Kareena concluded.
