Kapil’s Comedy Not So Comic Anymore!

India loves Comedy Nights With Kapil; even Indians abroad are big fans of th show. But Kapil Sharma’s comedy show has run into troubled waters. The way Kapil and his show portray women is not going down well with certain women’s rights organisations.

In a recent episode, Kapil was speaking about the dismal condition of Indian roadsand said that it is bad enough to pop out a baby from the belly of a pregnant woman! This comment  irked some NGOs who perceived it as disrespect towards women. They also find the way two characters in the show, Dadi and Pinky, are portrayed very distasteful. The question the producers whether Indian women are really like Dadi, who’s always drunk, or like Pinky, who’s available to everyone!

The NGOs are not alone in finding Kapil’s humour distasteful. Many women feel that Kapil’s behavious towards his wife on the show is also deplorable and not funny at all! What do you think?
