Kangana Ranaut attended the prestigious 67th National film Awards, held in Delhi today, and bagged the Best Actress award for her impeccable performance in ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ and ‘Panga’.

Sharing a glimpse of the happy moment, the actress took to her Instagram account and penned down an emotional tribute to her parents.

She wrote, “We all grow up with a deep desire to be worthy of our parents love, care and sacrifices… After all the troubles I give my mummy papa such days seem to make up for all those mischiefs .. Thank you for being my mummy papa I wouldn’t want it any other way …❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🎉🤩.” In the pictures, Kangana in her traditional look is seen planting a sweet kiss on her mother’s forehead as all of them come together for the camera. Their smiles truly speak volumes about their happiness.

Kangana made a stunning entry at the award ceremony in a traditional local weave and ditched designer labels.

Looking royal and opulent, she opted for a silk saree in hues of red and gold. She added oomph to her Indian look with gold jewellery and a neat bun adorned with gajra. Her signature fresh-looking makeup look topped with a humble bindi further elevated the look.

The ceremony was being presented by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu.

Sharing a glimpse of her look before gracing the red carpet, she revealed, “Today I am receiving joint National Award for two of my performances.. Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi (2019) Panga(2020) I also co directed Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi Immense gratitude for the teams of these films … 🥇🥇”. The winners’ list was earlier announced in March this year, in honour of films released in 2019. The awards was postponed owing to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
