At the recent Times LitFest session in Mumbai, actor Kabir Bedi was speaking about his memoir ‘Stories I Must Tell’ with author Meghna Pant. During the interaction, a member of the audience posed a question to Bedi about his insights in the book on mental health and praised Bedi’s knowledge and understanding of mental health afflictions. To this observation, Bedi recalled his turbulent times with Parveen Babi and his late son Siddharth.

He said, “In the chapter on my son, I went into the issue of mental health in depth. But it is actually the story of a father trying to prevent his son from committing suicide.”

Despite the heavy-duty emotions at hand, Bedi was at his affable best as he added, “I wanted my readers to be thrilled while reading it.
