Alia Bhatt is the only Bollywood actor who is more famous for her “brains” than her beauty (or even acting skills). A few gaffes she made in her interviews and public appearances, have ensured  that she will carry the tag of “dumb” to her grave. Social media has a field day mocking and making fun of  this young actor. There is a big space on the internet that is occupied by jokes on Alia Bhatt. You will ROFL at these jokes and memes. How do you think this affects Alia?

It is quite likely that everyone in the country believes Alia to be dumb. But these lines from her interviews will show you  that she isn’t. She is quite the opposite. She is smart, practical, and vulnerable just like the girl next door.

“I have bad days where my confidence is just zero, and I feel like s**t because I feel I look like s**t, pardon my language. But then I just suck it up. I’m like any other girl at the end of the day, I’m not made of steel. I have to work very hard to look a certain way, and I am still getting there.”

“I don’t get upset at it, I laugh at it. I am the first person to laugh at myself. I always say that I’d rather be stupid than pretend to be intelligent… Basically there are these Twitter and Facebook jokes on me, because I am apparently stupid. They are very hilarious.”

“I know what I want. Though I am very young, I don’t want to be typecast, because I am not just a baby doll. I am okay with that image but I want to fit into any role. While visualising my career, I have not left any room for failure and if it does come my way, it will be difficult for me to deal with it. I see myself as a successful actor only.”

“I don’t get bogged down by competition. But I get jealous of other actresses when I see they have a better body than me. Not in a negative way though. When I see them, I realize I’m not doing well enough and it pushes me to work harder. Jealousy is important for a person to move ahead in life. It keeps you on your toes and helps you realize that you’re not the be-all and end-all of everything. Currently, many actresses are better lookers and performers than I am. And that motivates me to work harder.”

“I’m the wrong person to advise anyone. I’d like every girl to love herself more than anyone else. That’s the only way they’ll never land up hurting themselves”

…….. doing a re-think, are you?
