Ind vs NZ 2nd ODI: India beat Kiwis by 6 wickets, level series 1-1
India defeated New Zealand in the second ODI on Wednesday to keep their hopes alive in the series, with the series level at 1-1.
After winning the toss, Kiwi captain Kane Williamson elected to bat.

However, nothing worked out for the visitors as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals.
However, it was a 60-run partnership between Tom Latham and Henry Nicholls , and later on a 47-run partnership between Colin de Grandhomme and Henry Nicholls, and they were finishing the innings at 230-9.
For the Indians, it was Bhuvneshwar Kumar (3-45 from 10 overs), Jasprit Bumrah (2-38 from 10 overs) and Yuzvendra Chahal ( 2-36 from 8 overs) who starred with the ball.
Chahal, though, was on hat-trick after having got the wickets of Colin de Grandhomme and Adam Milne in the 44th over, but missed the hat-trick opportunity.

Apart from them, Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya took one wicket each. In reply, India got off to a strong start, but lost Rohit Sharma in the fifth over. This was followed by a 57-run partnership between captain Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan, after which the former departed for 29. Dhawan, too, played a good innings, but, came to an unfortunate end, departing for 68.
Soon after, Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik, who scored 64, put up a 59-run partnership after which the former departed for 30.
However, it was a 28-run stand between MS Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik which took the hosts beyond the finish line, with Karthik concluding the match with a boundary. The two teams will now head to Kanpur, where they will play the deciding ODI on Sunday.
