Over the years wedding fashion has progressed and now brides are choosing their dream ensembles. They relinquish the usual lehengas and wear what they love most. From pretty pastels to shararas and saris, they wear what they really like. And sometimes, just like Bollywood stars, they prefer that the track of the dress be very long. We recently saw a bride from across the border wearing a giant red lehenga for her D-Day and everyone was amazed.
Recently, a Pakistani bride wore a 100kg lehenga and we can’t imagine how she carried it. In the pictures that are trending on the internet, we saw that the bride’s lehenga skirt covered the entire stage and went all the way down to the stairs. Her outfit had beautiful hand embroidery all over it. She had given her look a Maang Teeka and a red neck part.
While everything seems perfect, we wonder how she got up after the photo session and greeted all the guests! Anyway, her groom kept his look refined with a gold sherwani and maroon turban.
The images of the bride’s lehenga immediately went viral. While some loved the way it looked, others called it a little too much. One of the users wrote on Twitter: “Samaj nahi arahi …! Is it the bride who wears the lehnga or the lehnga who wears the bride !!?” The other wrote: “If your father is so rich that you don’t know how to spend money on a #wedding, then you spend everything on your #lehenga.”
Well we love this bride’s wedding ensemble! What about you? Can you imagine wearing a heavy lehenga in your wedding?
