Though it is time to celebrate the feast of colors, but it seems like Bollywood is in no mood to have any celebrations post Sridevi’s demise. The shocked and grieving film industry has canceled several planned events to pay their respect for a great loss to Hindi Film industry.
Shabana Azmi, who was among the first few celebrities to arrive at Anil Kapoor’s residence to offer her commiserations, has canceled her annual Holi celebrations. Taking to Twitter, Shabana issued a statement that she has canceled the Holi party in the wake of her friend’s passing. The note read, “Our Holi party at Janki Kurir stands canceled on 2nd March in the wake of Sridevi’s passing.”
Yesterday, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma tweeted that he and actor Nagarjuna were postponing the announcement of the title and poster of their new film. RGV, a vocal admirer of the late actress, directed her in the Telugu films Kshana Kshanam and Govinda Govinda. Nagarjuna and Sridevi co-starred in Govinda Govinda and other films such as Aakhari Poratam and Khuda Gawah.
It seems like this year, Holi celebrations are nowhere to go and is canceled. There is not a single celebrity who is even interested to go to a zone of celebration and party. Rest in Peace Sri Mam.
