For all ‘The Big Bang Theory’ fans, there is a sad news and I am sure you will not like it. Jim Parsons aka Sheldon Cooper became a domestic name for his depiction of the maddening yet innocent theoretical physicist in the popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory. But everything good comes to an end right? Recently the makers decided to bring the show to an end and assured that it would be an ‘epic creative close.
“We are forever grateful to our fans for their support of The Big Bang Theory during the past 12 seasons. We, along with the cast, writers and crew, are extremely appreciative of the show’s success and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale that will bring The Big Bang Theory to an epic creative close” said CBS, Warner Bros. Television and Chuck Lorre Productions said in a joint statement.
On Wednesday, producers Warner Bros. Television proclaimed that the nerdy comedy’s forthcoming 12th season would be its last, with Big Bang Theory set to wrap as TV’s longest-running multicamera comedy in history with 279 episodes.
The final season will again be piloted by showrunner Steve Holland as Molaro focuses on Big Bang Theory prequel. According to Entertainment Weekly, CBS was trying to negotiate two more seasons, but talks ended when Parsons decided to walk away.
We will miss you, Sheldon Cooper.
