Indian filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has denied sexual delinquency allegations levelled against him by actor Payal Ghosh.
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap on Sunday said the sexual harassment accusations steamrolled against him by actor Payal Ghosh are untrue. On Sept. 19 Ghosh tweeted: “@anuragkashyap72 has forced himself on me and extremely badly. @[email protected] ji, kindly take action and let the country see the demon behind this creative guy. I am aware that it can harm me and my security is at risk. Pls help!”
The actor, who made her Hindi debut with Rishi Kapoor-Paresh Rawal starrer “Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi”, also sued that Kashyap boasted about his connection with megastar Amitabh Bachchan and claimed that there were other female artistes who he got intimate with.
The 30-year-old actor tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi in her tweet, requesting him to take action against Kashyap. However, Anurag Kashyap dismissed the allegations in a series of tweets and described them as “an attempt to silence” him. In a long thread posted in Hindi, Anurag Kashyap wrote, “Wow, it took you so long to make an attempt to silence me. Never mind… in a bid to silence me, you have dragged another woman in this, despite being a woman. Please stick to the limits, Madame. All I want to say is all allegations are baseless.”
Well, we are unsure if the allegations on Anurag holds any truth or not, but there should be a justice mechanism for these issues.
