Ever since Anurag Kashyap made Gangs of Wasseypur, India has undergone a lingo transformation. The crass language that young men used in private is now being openly used by everyone. Four letter words are considered fine to use, unless you are in a board meeting! Even girls are using this crude language, thinking that it somehow makes them cooler.

Does it?

After the stupendous success of Wasseypur series, film makers started pouring in huge quantities of swear words and curses into their content. Surprisingly, the audience seems to like it. Films like Fukrey also saw success by following this formula. Today even the webseries we see are following the same mantra. Take Mirzapur, for example. This webseries has been received very well by audience as well as by critics, and it does have very bad language.

The question arises, do we really need this type of language for a film or a web series to appear realistic? What do you think?
