Bombay High Court on Thursday approved bail to superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Seth Merchant, in connection with the drugs on cruise case. Following the urgings presented by Additional Solicitor General of India (ASG) Anil Singh, who was representing the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Aryan Khan’s lawyer Mukul Rohatgi submitted his final submissions and the court granted them bail.
Aryan Khan is not likely to walk out of the Arthur Road jail, where he is currently lodged, immediately as the court is yet to give its operative order on the conditions imposed while granting bail. Hearing on the bail applications started on October 26.
The HC’s order granting bail to Mr. Aryan Khan was hailed by several film personalities, while a huge group of fans gathered outside Mr. Shah Rukh Khan’s sea-facing bungalow ‘Mannat’ in suburban Bandra in show of cohesion and to celebrate end of his son’s incarceration.
Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik, who has been targeting the NCB, especially its zonal director in Mumbai Sameer Wankhede, over the cruise drugs bust episode, posted a cryptic message after the bail order and continued his tirade against the IRS officer.
The legal team of the 23-year-old Mr. Aryan Khan will now try to complete the formalities for his release by October 29 or October 30.
