Music director Wajid Khan was laid to rest at a Versova cemetery in presence of close friends and family members. Wajid was 42. Music composer Salim Merchant, who confirmed the news of Wajid’s death, said the composer was hospitalised few days ago at Surana Hospital, Chembur where his condition deteriorated.
The singer’s death has sent the shudder waves in the industry and many grieved his death. Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor, Karan Johar, Amitabh Bachchan among others feel confounded with the death of the music composer.
Salman Khan tweeted, “Wajid Vil always love, respect, remember n miss u as a person n ur talent, Love u n may your beautiful soul rest in peace.” While Abhishek Bachchan took to Twitter and wrote, “Rest in harmony my friend. Had the pleasure of working with both Sajid-Wajid most loving and brilliant. My condolences to his family and especially Sajid.” Akshay Kumar also tweeted, “Shocked and saddened to hear about the untimely demise of #WajidKhan, talented and ever-smiling…gone too soon. May God give strength to his family in this difficult time.”
Well, Wajid along with his brother made their Bollywood debut with Salman’s 1998 movie “Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya” and went on to work on actor’s various films including “Garv”, “Tere Naam”, “Tumko Na Bhool Payenge”, “Partner” and the popular “Dabangg” franchise. We will definitely miss a jewel like Wajid. Rest in peace, Wajid sir.
