Bhumi Pednekar is happy to resume shooting

She’s known to speak her mind. Bhumi Pednekar, who recently resumed shooting, has always expressed her opinions without any qualms. The actress said that getting back on the sets after so long had been a happy albeit different experience. In a recent interview, Bhumi said that she had been looking forward to going back on the sets and was grateful that with restrictions easing across the country, shoots were slowly resuming. The actress also praised industry bigwigs, who had taken it on themselves to vaccinate members of the film fraternity. This, she said, would help the industry inch towards normalcy faster and in a safe environment.

Bhumi is also an active environmentalist and has often spoken about the importance of looking after the environment.

Her initiative, Climate Warrior, raises awareness about the planet and why it is so crucial to look after it. She credited her parents for imparting strong values in her and said, “I’m thankful to my parents for making me this opinionated person that I have become. I will continue on my mission to constantly do my bit for my community and the fellow citizens of my country.”

She was recently in the news after it was announced that she would appear in the Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Raksha Bandhan’.

This is not the first time the two will be seen on screen together. In the past, they had done ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ together. Apart from ‘Raksha Bandhan’, Bhumi also has ‘Badhaai Do’ with Rajkummar Rao and ‘Mr Lele’ with Vicky Kaushal in her kitty.
