Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ has opened to a fantastic response at the box office by netting the third highest weekend collections for the year 2013. The movie with the highest box office collections yet remains ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. By collections Rs. 32 crores net at the Box office, Farhan’s clout over the box office has increased and he is now seen as a saleable star. The multifaced young man got into the skin of Milkha Singh and has been praised by critics and audiences alike.
‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ captures the story of Milkha Singh, the ace runner who is also known as “The Flying Sikh”. As of 2013, Milkha Singh is the only male Indian Athelete to win an individual athletics gold medal at The Commonwealth Games. Milkha Singh who witnessed the killings of his parents during the partition shifted to Delhi and from there on joined the Army.
At the Army he was introduced to Atheletics in which he has achieved phenomenal success by true determination. We wish the movie goes beyond the 100 crore mark as a mark of respect to this great Indian Athelete.
