“Ashutosh Gowariker Not Invited!”

This may soon be the norm for all Bollywood Awards functions. Our sources inform us that Awards Functions’ organizers are seriously considering not inviting Ashutosh Gowariker for these events in the future. “So what has he done now?”, you may ask. Ashutosh has publicly humiliated Priyanka Chopra at the 10th IIFA Awards, held recently at Macau.

The memory of Ashutosh Gowariker adding heapful of masala to the last Star Screen Awards is still fresh in our minds. Sajid Khan and Farah Khan, who were hosting the show got a big earful from Gowariker for making fun of the industry to brass.

Ashutosh has done it again at IIFA. Only, this time he has not restricted his venomous comments to the hosts Riteish Deshmukh and Boman Irani or the organizers of the event. Ashu has publicly embarrassed Priyanka Chopra, one of the finest and most gorgeous actresses of our times.

As he went on stage to collect the trophy for Best Director for “Jodha Akbar”, Ashutosh made a mockery of himself by making a very careless and insensitive statement. In his own words, “Priyanka I love you, but I don’t know how you got the award for Best Actress when Aishwarya was also nominated in the same category for Jodhaa Akbar.” On realizing that this may not go down too well with Priyanka, he tried to control the damage by adding, “May be it is because you are very hard-working and she is a natural.”

Now, if that is not a man too full of himself, who is? Everyone knows that Priyanka Chopra did a fabulous job in Fashion and has walked away with the Best Actor-Female trophy at ALL the Awards Functions. It is ridiculous that Ashu believes Ash should get the award. Is it because she was the heroine of his “Jodha Akbar”?

Incidentally, Priyanka Chopra is Ashu’s next heroine. She is working with him in What’s Your Rashee? opposite ex flame Harman Baweja. But this fact did not seem to matter a lot to Ashu, who went on to embarrass Priyanka. Ashu also had a verbal battle with the organizers at IIFA, for allowing a spoof on his beloved Jodha Akbar. He was heard cribbing about Riteish making fun of others because he is a minister’s son!

C’mon! Where’s your sense of humor Ashu? We have heard that your next film is a comedy. But with a sense of humor like that, you do you plan to direct a comedy? How about developing a sporting spirit?
