Aparshakti Khurana wants to explore different genres
Aparshakti Khurana, who is gearing up for his first release as a solo lead, ‘Helmet’, recently signed his next film. It is a suspense thriller will be directed by Kookie Gulati and also stars R Madhavan.
Aparshakti completed shooting ‘Helmet’ once the lockdown restrictions were lifted in the country.
The quirky comedy also stars Pranutan Bahl, Abhishek Banerjee and Ashish Verma and has been directed by Satram Ramani. Apart from films, Aparshakti will also be making his digital debut soon. The actor admitted that he had been looking out for the right project in the online space for a while now.
In a recent interview, he also said that he was looking for roles in various genres, and not just comedy.
Aparshakti said that he was consciously looking at breaking away from the comedy genre and exploring different characters. But that also didn’t mean that he would stop doing comedy altogether. The idea, he said, was to do good cinema, that left an impact on people.
Looking back at 2020, the actor said that despite being such a tough year, he preferred to look at the positives.
He said that the year had given him a chance to spend a lot of time with family, and that he would always be grateful about that. Admitting that the long lockdown months did affect his mindset, the actor said that keeping himself occupied helped him a lot.
