Forbes released the list of highest paid male actors around the world, and the only Indian to make the cut in the top 10 was Akshay Kumar. Akshay is placed 6th on the list, beating stars like Will Smith and Jackie Chan.
According to an annual tally released by Forbes magazine on Tuesday, Akshay Kumar has become the sixth highest-paid actor in the world with an earning of $48.5 million (Rs 362 crore) between June 2019 and June 2020. He is the only Indian actor to star in the top 10. Most of his income came from product endorsements, Forbes said.
Wrestler-turned-movie star Dwayne Johnson(The Rock), has been declared the world’s highest-paid actor for the 2nd year in a row with earnings of $87.5 Million. Ryan Reynolds ($71.5M), Mark Wahlberg ($58M), Ben Affleck ($55M), Vin Diesel ($54M), Akshay Kumar ($48.5M), Lin-Manuel Miranda ($45.5M), Will Smith ($44.5M), Adam Sandler ($41M) and Jackie Chan ($40M) are the stars who have made it to the top 10 list this year.
The figures are pre-tax and do not include deductions for fees given to agents, managers and lawyers, Forbes said. The magazine releases a separate list of highest-paid actresses.
