Aanand L Rai opens up about Haseen Dillruba starring Taapsee Pannu

After the success of his last Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Aanand L Rai is gearing up for his next production venture titled Haseen Dillruba. The film, directed by Vinil Mathew stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. It also features Chhapaak actor Vikrant Massey along with Hansika Motwani and Harshavardhan Rane.

Talking about the project, Aanand says, It is a beautiful story written by Kanika Dhillon.

He continued, it has been there with our production house from quite some while. We have been looking for the right cast and right director for it. Finally, the project took off. Vinil Mathew is directing it and we have a wonderful cast. It is an interesting plot set up in an interesting world. With this film we are exploring a different genre as a production house. I am really very excited.”

Apart from this, the filmmaker is also working on his next directorial Atrangi Re.

The film stars Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan and reunites Raanjhanaa actor Dhanush with the director. This film brings back Aanand to direction after his last Zero underperformed at the box office.
