If your children love kheer but you do not have any time or energy to prepare kheer after a long day, here is the perfect quick fix for your family’s sweet cravings. This recipe is simple, easy and tastes just as good as the traditional kheer.

Ingredients: Suji, milk, sugar and mixed nuts.

Method: Start by dry roasting one cup suji on a low flame. Roast the suji till it begins to turn golden in color. Now add in 2 cups of milk and bring the kheer to a boil. Heat the mixture till it begins to thicken. Now add in sugar to taste and chopped mixed nuts. You may add some strands of saffron for lovely color. Turn the heat off and your instant kheer is ready!

You can also add in some chopped berries, mango or other fresh fruit for variation. Children love this kheer with mango and strawberries!
