If you are trying to lose weight or just hoping to do a little cleanse of your digestive system, we bring you the perfect dish. Moong-Lauki Soup is light, flavourful, high on protein and low on Carbs. It is digested easily and can be prepared in a very short time. What more could anyone ask for?

How to Make the Moong-Lauki Soup

Ingredients: 1 small katori Moong dal, 1 large Lauki, 1 small onion, 1 large tomato, salt/seasonings and ginger garlic (optional).

Method: Wash and clean the moong dal and pour into a pressure cooker. Wash and peel the vegetables. Chop and transfer to the pressure cooker. Add the salt and cook on high pressure. 

The vegetables and dal will be cooked in 7-10 minutes. Turn the stove off and allow the mixture to cool down. Now gring to a soupy consistency in a blender or use a hand blender.

Serve hot, seasoned with pepper and some rock salt.
