Moong Dal Chilla Recipe
Wash 1 cup of moong dal and soak it in 2-3 cups of water overnight. You can use the split yellow or green moong dal.
The next morning, gring soaked dal into a fine paste, without using much water. We want the batter to be thick and not runny.
Add in salt, chilly powder, turmeric, hing and jeera powder. Whisk well.
Add finely chopped onion, ginger, green chillies and coriander to the batter and whisk well. Leave aside for 15 minutes.
Now make the chillas just like you make any other chilla or dosa. Use very little oil and keep the flame low so that the chillas turn out crisp.
Make the chillas plain or stuffed. If you are hungry, stuff your chillas with chopped fresh vegetables, spinach, paneer, cheese etc.
Serve hot with coriander chutney.
