For centuries we have known that babies and children love sweet foods. So we have fed our babies sweetened milk, sweet desserts, sweet baby food and even sugary fruit. But today humanity is facing a tough health challenge and this is the challenege of obesity. Obesity is now killing people worldwide. Sadly, even children are falling prey to obesity and becoming sick. Our sedentary lifestyle and unhealthy food habits have made ‘diet’ and ‘weight loss’ some of the most searched terms online. This is why now we need tp nip this problem in the bud by altering the food habits of our babies.
If they are not fed on a sugary diet when they are babies, they will probably be less dependent on sugar as they grow up!
Try introducing your babies to the taste of vegetables and fresh seasonal fruit. It is very easy to boil and mash up any vegetable or fruit of choice. So you can introduce your baby to the flavour of a melon, mango, broccoli, carrot, peas etc before they even turn one! This will not only be good for your babies’ health, it will also make them used to the taste of vegetables when they grow up. So they will not be fussy or picky about eating veggies!
