A cartoon of Dalit Leader and Indian constitution writer Dr B R Ambedkar reportedly printed in an NCERT textbook for Class 11 did upset our MPs and set off a storm in both houses of parliament yesterday. The cartoon which also features Jawaharlal Nehru has been depcited by our law makers as insulting to Ambedkar, Nehru and the whole nation.

Indian Muslim scholar Hazrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi wrote a book "A Gift for a Muslim Couple ". It's lucky for him that he died in 1943. In a shocking incident, a 37 year old woman was raped at gunpoint in Kolkata. The woman was beaten up and brutally physically abused by men she met in a club.
