COVID-19 is a big challenge for parents. Children have been staying home for months. They are bored, lonely and seeking different forms of entertainment. 1. Make an effort for the family to be active. You can have fun family games, or dancing sessions, or family Yoga time. But it is important to make sure that everyone gets some form of daily activity. This is not only important for a healthy body, but also for a healthy mind!
2. Try to spend more time with your children. Every hour you spend with them is an hour they spend away from their screens. Enjoy fun family games like Pictionary, Charades or some board games. Tell you children stories like your gandmother probably told you when you were little. Play antakshari. The possiblities are endless.
3. Encourage your children to read. Order some books from Amazon. Do not encourage online reading. Children are spending enough time with their screens while doing school work. Any recreational reading should be done offline! Reading is a great habit with many rewards.
