The Coronavirus pandemic has engrossed the entire world. With the country entering a total lockdown, people are following social distancing to keep the deadly virus at bay.

Singer Shawn Mendes, tennis ace Roger Federer, Chinese businessman Jack Ma, Elon Musk, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Aaron Paul, Bryan Cranston, Rihanna to name a few have donated within their means to help ease the pressure of the coronavirus spread but fans in India seem upset with the fact that not many celebrities here have come forward to help the victims of the coronavirus spread.

Hence, upset fans even took to Twitter and trended #BollywoodActOnCorona as they urged celebrities to donate for the cause of fighting the deadly viral disease.

After the Twitter trend, several Bollywood, Tollywood and TV celebrities have come forward to donate for cause of combating against Coronavirus. As per reports, superstar Rajinikanth has donated Rs 50 lakh for the wellbeing of daily wage workers of South Indian film industry. Several other top stars of southern cinema including Suriya, Karthi and Vijay Sethupati, besides many filmmakers have pitched in, too. Akshay Kumar, who was last seen in ‘Good Newwz’ opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan, has donated Rs 25 crore to PM-CARES fund for the welfare of the fund.

However, is it fair to question the celebs about donation to fight against this pandemic? Well, in this situation, if the rich can help the nation by donating money irrespective of it being a movie star or an industrialist, it will benefit the people of the nation.
