As the coronavirus pandemic intensifies, governments across the world are putting their people in lockdown. With coronavirus taking a strong grip over India, there are set of things that one can do and can’t do during this lockdown.
India, at the moment, is not under wide-ranging lockdown. However, severe travel restrictions have been imposed on some states, and public places have been shut. Rail, intercity bus services have been suspended throughout the country.
During a lockdown it usually allows for essential supplies, grocery stores, pharmacies and banks to continue to serve the people. All non-essential activities remain shut for the entire period.
Below are some pointers that you have to keep in mind during a lockdown to ensure that you are abiding to the responsibilities imposed in this time of emergency.
You can perform essential activities include picking up groceries and medical supplies, going to doctor and going on a walk provided you are following social distancing. If you work for a vital service, you will not need to adhere to these restrictions. However, for the rest, anyone breaking the rules, could be punished with simple imprisonment for a term that may extend up to one month or with a fine.
Also, cashier and teller operations of banks (including ATMs) will be open. So you can withdraw money in need. However, individuals need a self-declaration to venture out. Any flock of more than five people is strictly prohibited and punishable by law. You cannot party with a group or enjoy your free time publically.
In this pandemic, keep yourself and others safe by staying inside house and self-isolating from rest.
