As winter sets in, all we want is hot and sweet desserts. We love to chomp on gajar ka halwa, moong dal ka halwa, gulab jamun etc. But today we bring you a recipe you may not have tried yet, or even tasted! The good thing is that this is a simple and easy recipe and the results are amazing!
Carrot Kheer Recipe
Ingredients: 1/2 litre milk, 3 medium sized carrots - peeled and grated, 1/2 cup almonds - soaked overnight, sugar, cardamom and 2 spoons of almonds slivers.
Method: Start by blending the wet ingredients. Peel the soaked almonds and transfer to a blender. Add in the grated carrots and a little milk. Blend.
In a heavy bottomed pan or pateela, pour in the blended mix and the remaining milk and turn up the heat. Continue stirring.
When the mixture comes to a boil, add in cardamom powder and sugar to taste.
Boil for a few more minutes.
Serve hot, garnished with almond slivers, enjoy!
