Did you know you can make any kind of raisins at home?
After all, raisins are nothing but dried fruit. So all you need is to find the right fruit for your kind of raisins and bingo!
Start with a bowl of fresh grapes, you could use green, red or black, round or long. Wash the grapes properly and discard any that looks damaged or unhealthy. Now place a pot of water on the stove and start to heat it. When the water starts boiling, chuck the grapes into the water and boil for 5-7 minutes. We will boil the grapes till they rise up and float, and the surface begins to crack.
Now strain out the water and place the grapes on a kitchen towel. Pat dry. Now these grapes are ready to be dried! Place them in a plate on top of a towel and keep in the sun for 2 days. Voila! Your home made raisins are ready!
