The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of Arvind Kejriwal has requested Congress leader and Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu to join the party. The solicitation comes in the middle of an ongoing tussle between Punjab Cheif Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and Sidhu.
AAP leader Harpal Singh Cheema on Saturday said that the correct party for the cricketer-turned-politician is Aam Aadmi Party. “AAP is the correct party for Navjot Singh Sidhu because he will be able to breathe openly and express whatever he wants. We welcome him. Arvind ji is also ready,” Singh said.
Conferring to the Chief Minister, Sidhu couldn’t hasten the implementation of the Congress government’s flagship programs. Talking to media on the sidelines of a meeting in Ludhiana, Cheema requested Sidhu to join AAP and promised him that he would be given due respect.
Well, now it is up to Navjot Singh Sidhu to either accept the offer and join AAP or be a part of Congress.
